Cheryl joined the firm in 2016 after practicing for over 20 years at Rettig Forgette Iller Adamson in the Tri-Cities. Her practice emphasizes insurance matters including coverage opinions and litigation, defense of bodily injury, property damage, construction defect and crop loss claims, fraud investigation, and insurance bad faith claims. Working with a variety of insurers and their policyholders, Cheryl handles such matters throughout the State of Washington.
Additionally, Cheryl’s commercial litigation practice includes representing individuals and business entities in various types of disputes, including breach of contract and tort, employment, secured transactions, entity dissolution, and the like. Cheryl values her long-term relationships with many clients.
Cheryl practices in Washington State and federal courts, and she has significant appellate experience, including multiple successful appearances before the Washington State Supreme Court. She graduated in 1990 from the University of Washington School of Law, where she graduated with Highest Honors, a distinction awarded to the law school graduate with the highest academic achievement. Cheryl was elected to the WashingtonLaw Review Editorial Board, and she was inducted into the Order of the Coif, an honor limited to the top 10% of the graduating class. She had the privilege of completing a federal externship with the Honorable William Dwyer, deceased. Prior to law school, Cheryl attended Gonzaga University, graduating in 1986, summa cum laude, with a degree in Business Administration.
